About Vanamali Ashram
Vanamali Ashram is situated on the banks of the great river, haloed by the vibrations of the number of enlightened souls who have done intense Tapasya through the ages on this sacred spot. It is blessed by Sri Jayendra Saraswati, the reining pontiff of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, established by Adi Shankaracharya. Sri Jayendra Saraswati went on foot to the great Himalayan shrines of Sri Kedarnatha and Sri Badrinatha and brought back the sanctified earth from there and personally consecrated the two temples which seem to guard the ashram as one enters.
Vanamali Mataji has dedicated her life to the spreading of the eternal message of the Santana Dharma. She also gives talks on the immortal teachings of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. She has also written many books on Hinduism and the Hindu gods.
Due to the constant and dedicated service of Sri Mohanji, the ashram though very small is able to render a lot of help to poverty stricken villages in and around Rishikesh and outlying villages. They distribute food, warm clothing, monthly rations, school books, medicines and furniture. They also help in building houses.
Sri Krishna is the lord and master of Vanamali Ashram. Vanamali Mataji, the humble instrument, through whom the divine music of love and grace flow like the waves of the Ganga on those who come here - drenching them with blessings and inspiring them to persevere in their determination to reach the ultimate goal of Self - Realisation.

“I truly appreciate Vanamali’s depth, insight and wisdom and ability to beautifully expand upon that which is unspeakably vast in nature.”
“Know that this world as it is understood by the mind and senses is but a passing show. It is transitory. The perception of multiplicity is only a trick of the senses to bind the immortal atman to the mortal world. So train your mind to accept all dualities with equanimity. One who recognises the world to be nothing but the Supreme Lord is filled with joy and sees no differences and thus meets with no opposition. Such a person neither avoids the bad due to compulsion nor promotes the good because it is advantageous. His responses are spontaneous and unmotivated, like those of a child. Ever established in truth of the Self, he roams about freely, seeing the Lord as the sole essence of this passing show of the world.”
— Sri Krishna’s message to Uddhava
